APEX Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Richard Anderson and Daniel Peterson. Rick retired in 2022. Dan is currently still an owner, and in 2018 Justin Musser, who has worked for the company since 1999, became an owner and is the current President. The name APEX was started with the following concept: Anderson Peterson Engineering Services, however, APES didn't sound like a professional business name to them (they were probably right). Rick and Dan settled on APEX, which they jokingly kid the "X" is for eXtraordinaires. All joking aside, APEX Engineering has provided the Chippewa Valley, Wisconsin, and the Midwest with numerous eXamples of eXemplary designs and energy efficient building systems.

APEX Engineering is a consulting engineering firm located in Eau Claire, WI specializing in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Plumbing and Electrical engineering and design, primarily in the area of building construction. Our staff consists of engineers, engineering technicians, designers, and technical support personnel. APEX has multiple professionals licensed for engineering/design work in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Although our firm prefers to provide local communities with design services, we have worked with existing clients in the states of Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Indiana. Our firm provides a complete range of mechanical and electrical engineering services which include: Site Investigation, Existing System Analysis, Preliminary Design Concepts and Planning, Budgeting and Construction Cost Estimates, System Design and Specifications, Construction Administration, Construction Observation, and As-Built/Record Drawings. We work in conjunction with state and local codes, architects, local contractors, commissioning agents and Focus On Energy (FOE) for energy analysis and rebates.
